He said, &#8220;to be a good leader, you need to be an effective coach&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been over 20 years since he shared that with the room. In that time I moved through a number of leadership positions, at small businesses and at the largest companies on the planet. And in that time I learned how to be an effective coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What sets me apart from most career coaches, is my extensive experience working at the top levels of the corporate world:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I have collaborated with senior executive teams at many of the world&#8217;s top companies and brands, including Walmart, United Health, CVS, Alphabet, McKesson, Cardinal Health, Chevron, Samsung, Starbucks, JP Morgan Chase, Allstate, Nationwide, 20th Century Fox, AT&amp;T, SingTel and many others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I have led strategy and business transformation programs at Google and SingTel, reporting to the C-suite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I have built and led highly-recognized, high-performing teams in the most dynamic and complex environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I have presented at conferences, to boards, and to countless executive forums.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;ve completed leadership programs at some of the world&#8217;s top schools for leaders, including Harvard Business School, Stanford Graduate School of Business, and the Australian Air Force.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe that people are happiest and at their best in their work when they connect with their internal passion and align it with what they do. It&#8217;s why I am so passionate about helping people become authentic and powerful leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">My Career Journey<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve had a highly varied career. I started down a number of very different career paths in my life, and have held a wide variety of positions. Some highlights include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>joined the Australian Air Force, and worked as an Air Traffic Controller;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>became a Cinema Projectionist, working at multiplexes and on film productions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>worked in retail at supermarkets, video games, and in fast food at McDonald&#8217;s and KFC;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed a Visual Arts diploma in film-making;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>volunteered as a Lifeguard for many years at a popular Australian beach;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>started a video production company, and a Theatre training and production company (specializing in improvisational theatre);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>worked at a theme park as a Presenter, hosting tours through a film backlot;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>worked as a Trip Guide at a US summer camp, taking kids on multi-day backcountry hikes and canoeing trips;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>worked in executive headhunting and recruitment in the UK;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>spent over ten years in telecommunications, starting in a call center, before moving into Product Management, and ultimately working on industry strategy at the international level;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed a Master&#8217;s Degree in Computer Science;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>earned my pilot certification in the USA;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed leadership programs at Harvard and Stanford;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completed the Co-Active coaching program;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learned magic, and performed as a professional Magician;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>earned my Ocean Passage Making certificate &#8211; the highest sailing certification in the USA;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>worked at Google for over six years. building and leading high-performing consulting teams;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>established a boutique consulting firm, with clients in telecommunications and healthcare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I am driven by openness, curiosity, and passionate self-development.
